Dr. Karl Neumann discusses toddler feeding and nutrition

THE DOC IS IN: Dr. Neumann shares
his toddler nutrition tips
Watching your child transition from baby to toddler is exciting, but it also comes with a whole new wave of questions and concerns. Unfortunately, toddlers don't come with instruction manuals -- but don't worry, OnCloudMom is here to help. I'm excited to introduce a new podcast series focusing solely on answering those tough toddler questions.

We turned to our friend Dr. Karl Neumann for advice. Dr. Neumann specializes in pediatric medicine and has over 54 years of experience in the field. He even runs his own website, KidsTravelDoc, where he gives tips on how to keep your children safe and healthy when traveling. Dr. Neumann will be fielding our toddler questions and we'll post his answers right here for all you curious mommies.

In our first podcast, OnCloudMom blogger Caitlin caught up with Dr. Neumann to hear his opinions on toddler feeding and nutrition. He tackled some pretty difficult questions -- like when to start solids, and what solids to introduce first. He also discussed the debates over organic food versus non-organic food, and toddler-led feeding versus mother-encouraged feeding.

Listen to the podcast below to hear all of his great advice. In the meantime, I'll leave you with his top tips for parents attempting to start solids …

Relax, trust your instincts, and know that you can't mess up.

Thanks Dr. Neumann for your time and expertise! I'm confident that your advice will help to ease the feeding and nutrition worries that many parents face during those tricky toddler years. If you'd like to download Dr. Neumann's podcast to listen on-the-go (we know you're busy!), you can do that too!

Make sure to keep an eye out for future toddler podcasts with Dr. Neumann. Coming soon, we'll be tackling the topics of how to deal with picky eaters and how free play promotes development.
