New Year's Resolutions: A Message From Our CEO

Like many of you, I look forward to New Year’s as a time of self-reflection. Everyone is given the opportunity to look at the past and where they’ve been, and then look forward to the future. The season encourages us to imagine the best versions of ourselves, and then invites us each to make resolutions that will, hopefully, serve some good in the upcoming year.
It’s no different for me as the CEO of Lansinoh – but rather than just evaluate myself, I also reflect on the company: where we’ve been, where we’re going, where we should be. I am fortunate to lead a team of individuals who are passionate about what they do and truly believe in our vision to become the world’s largest specialist supplier of products and services that support mums’ and babies’ needs in breastfeeding and beyond.
This Vision Statement is at the core of my personal 2014 resolutions for Lansinoh and I’d like to share these with you. For this next year, Lansinoh resolves to…
  1. Keep Mothers and Babies First. We resolve that we will never forget that we are here to serve mothers and their babies. Parenting can be hard – we understand that! Looking to our heritage of 30 years of experience as a breastfeeding company, plus leaning on the insights of breastfeeding mums right here at Lansinoh (we have five employees who are pumping every day in our US office), we will provide the best possible products and solutions for families.
  2. Never Settle. We want our name on great products for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. We are a company run by humans so we will make mistakes and fall short of perfection, but our goal is to get better every day. When we can improve products, we will. If we can introduce new and better products, we will. Keeping mothers and babies first, we will constantly work to improve who we are, as individuals and as an organization.
  3. Provide More Than Just Products. We provide breastfeeding products that we are proud of, that will never change. But we strive to be more than that. We want to find ways to better serve our customers, whether it’s extending customer service hours or hosting interactive chats and Q&A sessions with our in-house certified lactation counselors. We want mums to understand that they can depend on us for more than just products – we can also offer valuable advice.
  4. Open Two-Way Communication with our Customers. Call our customer service line, you will get a human being. Tweet us, you will get a human being. Facebook, same thing. We want you to know that when you reach out to us, there is a real, live person here to help you. We hear you. More than that, we want to hear from you. Your feedback makes us better and since our products are made for you, we want to know what you think!
There are other resolutions, both for myself and for the organization, but these four are central to everything we’re doing. Thank you for letting me share them with you. And thank you for being a part of the Lansinoh family – you truly are at the heart of everything we do.
